PAMELA: An annotation-based Java modeling framework

نویسندگان

چکیده

This article presents PAMELA, an annotation-based Java modeling framework. PAMELA provides a smooth integration between model and code enables developers to handle software development both at conceptual level source-code level, without transformation and/or generation, avoiding round-trip-related issues.

Performance Modeling with Pamela: An Introduction

In this report we present a new methodology for the performance prediction of parallel programs on parallel platforms ranging from shared-memory to distributed-memory (vector) machines. The complete methodology comprises the concurrent language Pamela (PerformAnce ModEling LAnguage), the program and machine modeling paradigm, and a novel performance analysis method, called "serialization analys...

An annotation-aware Java virtual machine implementation

The Java bytecode language lacks expressiveness for traditional compiler optimizations, making this portable, secure software distribution format ine cient as a program representation for high performance. This ine ciency results from the underlying stack model, as well as the fact that many bytecode operations intrinsically include sub-operations (e.g., iaload includes the address computation,...

Houdini, an Annotation Assistant for ESC/Java

A static program checker that performs modular checking can check one program module for errors without needing to analyze the entire program. Modular checking requires that each module be accompanied by annotations that specify the module. To help reduce the cost of writing specifications, this paper presents Houdini, an annotation assistant for the modular checker ESC/Java. To infer suitable ...

A JAVA-BASED FRAMEWORK FOR DISCRETE EVENT SIMULATION A framework for Discrete Event Simulation and MOdeling

The system presented bridges the gap between three different research areas: discrete event simulation, heuristic optimization methods and distributed systems technology. Its goal is to provide a framework which supports an efficient implementation of simulation optimization projects, including heuristic optimum seeking procedures and parallel execution of experiments. It is written completely ...
